Her Naughty Holiday by Tiffany Reisz

224 Pages | Harlequin Blaze | Contemporary | Men At Work #2 | 10/18/16
I've heard so much praise for seminary student turned erotic romance author Tiffany Reisz. Since I’m not really a fan of erotica this vaguely lumbersexual holiday romance series looked more my speed. My favorite thing is that these books are set around  Halloween and Thanksgiving--holidays that don’t regularly make appearances in romance novels.

30-year-old small business owner Clover Greene dreads Thanksgiving because of the insane marriage/baby pressure from her family. When Clover’s irreverent 16-year-old assistant tries to match her with her 38-year-old single Dad Clover brushes it off. . . until she realizes he would  make the perfect fake boyfriend with benefits to get her through Thanksgiving.

Overall, I enjoyed this story, it was filled with great chemistry and snappy dialogue. Erick Fields is a blue collar hero, he’s a roofer and lays cedar,  nd it’s nice seeing heroes who can do things instead of brood all the time in their office. Also--in case you couldn’t tell from the cover models' beard and all the pine in the background --this takes place in the Pacific Northwest. There is actually a note in the front of this book about how a visit to the Pacific Northwest inspired Reisz to write about this setting and she hits the mark with describing it.

My only complaint was the daughter. She's not in most of the book, but she was just a little too extra for my taste. She and her Dad had this Gilmore Girl-ish relationship where they're constantly trading quips and it was really annoying.

Her Naughty Holiday is steamy, holiday fun. I read this book during a readathon and it was the only book I finished !
