Top 5 Romantic Comedies with Jamie Wesley + Giveaway !

Today we have a guest post from Jamie Wesley, author of the One-on-One series, talking her Top 5 romantic comedies!

OMG. My top 5 romantic comedies. Eep. Only five?! But there are so many to choose from. Okay, so here’s what I’m going to do. I’ll concentrate on teen romantic comedies. They’re so cute, and I adore them (in most cases more than their adult counterparts if I’m being perfectly honest). Wish me luck in only choosing five!

Clueless – I know the romance plot isn’t the central storyline, but the whole movie is sheer perfection, and my favorite part of any movie is always the romance even if the movie only devotes two minutes to it. And Cher and Josh are sooo cute.

10 Things I Hate About You
– a true blue romantic comedy. Heath Ledger (may he rest in peace) is so dreamy. And he sings! And the grand gesture at the end (no spoilers)! Who doesn’t love that?

Can’t Buy Me Love – I saw this movie when it came out in the late 80s when I was about seven and immediately developed a huge crush on Patrick Dempsey. I always peripherally followed his career from that point on and would get so excited when he would show up in movies and on TV shows. He was never a big star, but he worked. Then he joined some show called Grey’s Anatomy and everyone started calling him McDreamy. And I was like, “NO! He’s mine!” LOL

Bend It Like Beckham – A teen sports romantic comedy? As a sports fanatic, all I can is “Sign me up!” This is another movie in which the romance isn’t the central plotline, but we’ve already talked about how I feel about that. LOL. I love how their romance develops throughout the movie, and the look on his face when he sees her when she steps out of the hotel makes my heart sigh every time.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun – Young Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Hunt, and Shannen Doherty! And dancing! And the popular cool guy falling for the awkward, but cute good girl. What’s not to love?

Honorable Mentions (because I can’t help myself)

Teen Witch – cheesy, 80s goodness at its best!

Bring It On – There’s cheering and dancing and realizing that the not-so-popular guy is the right guy for you after all!

Okay, I’m done now. Or at least I’m going to make myself stop. What’s your favorite romantic comedy – teen or adult?

Jamie Wesley has been reading romance novels since she was about 12 when her mother left a romance novel, which a friend had given her, on the nightstand. Jamie read it instead, and the rest is history. Her debut novel, TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD, was released by Entangled Publishing in 2014. She’s thrilled (and a little relieved) that this wasn’t her last book published.

She adores rooting for her hometown Dallas’s pro sports teams and her college alma maters, visiting Walt Disney World, and keeping up with pop culture. Want to know if your favorite TV show is going to be canceled or what the newest Disney attraction is? Ask Jamie. She'll probably know the answer. About the Book

Once is never enough.

When filmmaker Christian Monroe runs into fiery—and frustrating—Elise Templeton at a party, the night quickly becomes the hottest one-night stand of their lives. But then her boss hires Christian to make a publicity film about Elise, and suddenly they’re in each other’s space. All day. Every day. And things are getting hotter…

Outside the bedroom, the two have nothing in common. Elise is focused solely on becoming the NBA’s first female general manager. And Christian learned long ago that being a work-a-holic—or being with one—is a recipe for disaster.
But the more Elise reveals her deepest desires and fears to Christian—something she’s done for no man, ever—the more Christian wonders how much longer he can keep his hands off the infuriating woman who rocked his world…
